The Skills with People course is designed to help you effectively handle challenging relationships, conversations, and meetings that often involve strong emotions. It focuses on developing practical emotional intelligence, which involves expressing and managing feelings in a rational and safe manner. The course teaches two essential skills: listening with empathy to help others express their emotions and speaking assertively to articulate one's own feelings.

On this course you'll receive extensive coaching on applying these skills in various difficult situations, and will be encouraged to work on your specific challenges. Topics are broken down into several distinct categories, although there is frequently cross-over between topics.  Topics include assertiveness skills, emotional intelligence skills, leadership skills, relationship building skills, soft skills and teamwork skills.  The course emphasises that while people share fundamental emotional wiring, each person's experiences are unique, and it aims to meet individual needs.
