How could you be more understanding of people’s feelings? You can’t know how someone else feels, like you know how you feel, because you’re not telepathic. You have to read the clues, imagine yourself in their shoes, and guess: “I imagine you’re worried about …” Then they can say either, “Exactly!”, or “Not exactly. What I’m really worried about is …”
