Turning an objection into a yes - a management training course

Here’s how to turn an objection into a yes:

  • Don’t rush to answer it.
  • Instead, slow down and try to understand the concern behind it.
  • Check that the person you’re talking to feels fully understood.
  • Try to address their concern.
  • Ask if they’re now ready to say yes.
  • If not, either you failed to address their concern, or they’ve another objection.  Keep going round this cycle until you get a yes.
