Giving advice - a management training course

Giving advice is cheap and easy, but if you really want to be helpful, learn much more about a problem first.  Explore the question, “What’s prevented them from solving the problem themselves?”  And never give advice before finding out:

• how they’ve tried to tackle it,
• why they’ve failed.
