Getting the level of detail right - training for managers

Just imagine you’ve mastered the art of getting the level of detail right when answering senior managers’ questions or making presentations.  How do you avoid the common mistake of dumping, that is, giving too much detail?  Two ways:

  • Before answering a question you figure out the concern behind it, and answer that.
  • You start with an overview, and present detail only if you’re sure they really want it.

Interacting with senior managers successfully in order to get the level of detail right calls for skill and confidence.  You can develop both on our highly acclaimed London UK management training course, “Skills with People”.

But how can you be sure this training in the skills you need to get the level of detail right is for you?
